Cardio sucks, but it’s a necessary evil.

Fact is, if you want to build up your conditioning, keep your heart healthy n’ strong, and lose ugly belly flab…you gotta suck it up and do your cardio. 

But Jamin, can’t I get ripped without doing cardio?

Sure, it’s possible to get ripped without doing a lick of cardio…

…but what’s the point of getting ripped if you can’t run a single lap?

What’s the point of being ripped if you get gassed after throwing one or two air punches in a street fight?

That’s not real fitness…that’s called being out of shape. AKA you’re a PAPER TIGER.

Not a good look bruh.

The last thing any guy wants is to be the ripped bro who’s laying on the ground out cold because his cardio game wasn’t tight enough to fight off an attacker for more than 15 seconds…

Or worse yet…you fail to protect your girlfriend, wife, or sister while they were being harassed by a drunk idiot or stalked by a creeper.

Now, I’m not saying you will ever have to fight to protect the lives of the ones you love, but it happens a lot more than you might think. It never hurts to be physically ready.

Trust me when I tell you this…abs alone are not going to get it done. 

Anyway, like I said earlier, cardio sucks but it’s one of those things we all gotta do.

So with that said, I always try to come up with cardio workouts that (1) aren’t boring; and (2) only take about 20-30 minutes to finish. Why hate your life for any longer than 30 minutes a day?

To take things a step further, I try to always make sure I’m slamming, punching, or kicking something along with the running…

…because this helps me deal with the deep rooted anger issues that are typically associated with forcing myself to do cardio while also willingly choosing to avoid pizza and wine.

Sigh…fitness is hard.

Anyway…I’m sure you get the point. Here’s today’s cardio workout…try it out sometime and let me know what you think.

Today’s Killer Cardio Workout

Round 1
Renegade dumbbell row with push-up (8 on each side with 30lbs)
Superset with
:15 seconds treadmill mountain climbers (sprint)
Rest for :60 and repeat 3 times

Round 2
10 chin-ups
Superset with
:15 seconds deadmill sprint
Rest for :60 and repeat 3 times

Round 3
30 push-ups
Superset with
:30 incline treadmill sprints (at highest settings)
Rest for :60 and repeat 3 times

Round 4
:30 seconds heavy strikes on bag
Superset with
Plate pushes (push a 45 pound plate on the floor as fast as you can for 30-40 feet)
Rest for :60 and repeat 3 times

Round 5
Cool down walk on treadmill for 5-10 minutes

This workout may look easy on paper, but trust me it’s killer. I could feel my lunch almost coming up a few times…but I was able to hold it down (no pun intended).
